Hanson Community Preservation Committee~
Minutes~ April 15, 2009~
Meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m.
Members present:
David Harris, Laura FitzGerald- Kemmett, John Kemmett, William Clay (arrived at 7:20), Robert Sears,Bill Strait, Allan Clemons, Patty Norton, Phlip Lindquist
Not Present:
Minutes of the~March 18, 2009 were approved: 8-0-1 ~
Old Business
It was noted that most communities having CPA have a website that is a link from the town site
~ There was a motion by Dave and seconded by John to amend the budget approved in March to reflect the change in the state reimbursement rate to 29%~ approved ~ ~ 9-0-0
~ It was decided to hold a public meeting in May~ to explain CPA, application process, etc.~ CPA 101
~ It was decided because of the need to present a proposal or two at the October Town Meeting that the committee will need to meet bimonthly Here are the dates for your perusal~

~The application was reviewed and edited in its entirety
Motion to approve the application with changes by Allan Clemons, seconded by Patty Norton~ vote 9-0-0
~ At the next meeting we will discuss a contact person in town hall, need for a secretary, and other operational matters
~ Letterhead approved with changes -- email address added
New Business
~ It was noted that Seekonk and Rehoboth passed CPA ---- thanked us for our support – used our info cards
It was also noted that Lynnfield used our poll signs.
Rate has been reset from 35% to 29%.
~ We received an invite from GreenHanson to participate in Earth Day on April 25. Some of the~committee~members will participate.
A tri-fold brochure describing CPA and the CPC will be developed so that it may be offered to the townspeople as a handout
Liz contacted Bob regarding an informational meeting regarding CPA and Housing -- specifically targeting the smaller communities.
